Party of the year at Notting Hill Carnival
Notting Hill Carnival is the place to be this weekend! If your not there now then get going as you do not want to miss out as this year it is jam packed with the coolest and craziest events around this bank holiday weekend. You could call it the party of the year!
The Notting Hill Carnival is a great place for children to appreciate multicultural London in all its glory, with people from all backgrounds and cultures coming in to enjoy the event.
It is the biggest carnival in Europe and the events run from morning to late in to the night, the event is vivid, bright and unique with something for everyone to get involved in! Fancy a bit of dancing on the street or perhaps you would like to try some interesting foods, the masquerade bands put on a show for all and the sound systems are pumping away well past sun down.
The Main parade kicks of on monday with a huge mass of floats and dancers dressed in the most extravagent costumes you will ever see. The costumes are made form all kinds of fabrics, from voils to cotton fabrics to more extreme metals and unusual materials.
The music will be beating from the sound of the steel drums and the crowd will be partying in the streets all weekend long. Unless you have a really good excuse you should be making plans to get over there and the best part of all is that the admission is FREE!
